The Nitty Gritty

Great design works best with clear expectations

These Terms & Conditions outline how we work together, what you can expect, and how every project is managed with clarity, creativity, and zero surprises.

These guidelines support a smooth, efficient, and high‑quality creative process.

The Magic Starts Here

Working Together

1. Scope and Revisions

Estimates and quotes include the deliverables discussed or outlined in the proposal or agreement. All revisions are billable unless they correct an error made by Jump Creative. Revisions may continue as needed until the work is complete and correct. Any changes to the brief, additional requests, or adjustments made after approval of a stage will be billed at the standard hourly rate or as a new project, depending on the nature of the change.

2. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are provided as estimates and may vary depending on client responsiveness, project complexity, and workload. Delays in providing feedback, content, or approvals may extend the project timeline. If specific deadlines need to be met, please advise at the start of the project so scheduling can be planned accordingly. Reasonable contingency time will be factored into production to accommodate foreseeable delays.

3. Proofing Responsibility

While every effort is taken to ensure all work is accurate and professionally prepared, clients are responsible for reviewing all proofs carefully to confirm that spelling, dates, colours, layout, and content are correct before providing final approval. Approval confirms acceptance of the proof as supplied, and any changes or corrections requested after approval will be completed as additional billable work.

4. Quality Assurance

Jump Creative takes care to ensure all design work is delivered accurately, professionally, and in line with the agreed brief. Any errors arising from our own production process will be corrected at no additional cost.

5. Supplied file formats

Final files are supplied in the formats or final‑use specifications agreed upon at the start of the project. Clients are welcome to specify the file types they require, and guidance will be provided if they are unsure what formats best suit their needs. Additional file types, exports, or resizing requests outside the original scope may incur a minor additional charge.

6. Are final files editable?

All final deliverables are provided in a locked or non‑editable format to maintain design integrity, prevent accidental changes, and protect the work from unauthorised third‑party use. If text within a supplied file needs to be updated, the file may only be used for copying, pasting, or editing text for the purpose of providing revision notes or resupply during the alteration process. Supplied files must not be shared with third parties or used to recreate, reproduce, or internally produce the project.

7. Supply of Press‑Ready Files

Jump Creative manages the full production process to ensure the highest quality outcome, working with a network of trusted trade partners where required. Press‑ready files are not supplied to clients or third‑party printers. This approach maintains quality control, ensures files are prepared to the correct technical specifications, and prevents issues that can arise when artwork is printed outside the intended production workflow.

8. Intellectual Property and Working Files

Jump Creative retains full intellectual property rights to all working files, concepts, drafts, and design assets created during the development of your project. Working files—including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, layered files, Word, PowerPoint, and other editable source documents—are not supplied as part of any project. Final, flattened, or basic print‑ready files suitable for internal laser or office printing may be provided as agreed at the start of the project.

9. Ownership and Usage

Ownership of final artwork transfers to the client upon full payment. Jump Creative retains the right to showcase completed work in portfolios, social media, and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Payments and Refunds

Once work has begun, payments and deposits generally aren’t refundable because time and resources are allocated to your project straight away. Deposits are not typically required unless the project is large and involves defined stages. If you have concerns about your project or the work delivered, please reach out — I’m always happy to discuss options and find a fair resolution. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply.
